foligno italy
Surrounded by beautiful hills, Foligno is one of the few historical centres in Umbria situated in the valley. It is characterized by its tree-lined avenues, town squares, historical buildings, gardens and religious centres-such as the Romanesque church of Saint.Maria Infraportas and the Sassovivo Abbey. A network of tourist routes connect Foligno with the Regional Parks of Colfiorito and the Subasio Regional Park which allows visitors to discover those less well-known towns of cultural interest, such as Spello, Montefalco, Bevagna, and Nocera Umbra; towns that are represented in the paintings and frescoes of the greatest Umbrian artists!
